APICS  Board Meeting Minutes
October 7th 2005

President Ed Barth called the meeting to order. Approval of the September Minutes was made by everyone.

Presidents report – Ed Barth
Ed reported that the newsletter seems to be the best way to keep all members Informed, and that the posting of it on the website is working great. This is also Where upcoming class information will now be so members have a way to help reach others who want to get involved with taking the classes.

The Region 10 meeting will be held January 27, 28 in Reno. Ed and Rik are both Attending. Anyone else?

Ed brought up the topic of paying a Fuel surcharge for instructors as an extra incentive in lieu of extra pay. Much discussion was made over this as an idea was formed to think more on the topic and get back at the next meeting.

Programs – Rik
Rik handed over this topic to Joel who had much to bring up about the upcoming Oct 26, 27 PDM with David Schmaltz. Joel reported that final preparations were being made with the help of his assistant Lana. There had already been some interested parties wanting to sign up. Rik has several from PSC and Joel has a bunch from Symantec. Discussion about cost to put on the PDM. Wayne moved to spend 1800 –2000, Rik came up with an amended version an up’d the price to cover 2500. A Motion was made by Rik and seconded by Wayne, Motion passed.

Rik also mentioned that the April PDM will still be a joint venture with NAPM.

Treasure Report – Wayne
Wayne handed out a Balance sheet and Profit and Loss statement as of 0ct 5, 2005 with the current financial information.

Education – Mary
Mary reported that 17 people are signed up for the upcoming Basic’s Class and 5 are signed up for the ECO class. It was also reported that Country Coach is now making it a requirement for their employees to take the CPIM Certification course. This is good for our program.

Dir at Large – Elaine
Nothing to report other than still hanging in, and will be helpful where she can.
